Today 1/14/22 is National Amber Alert Awareness Day
Today is National AMBER Alert Awareness Day.
AMBER Alerts are emergency messages issued when a police agency determines that a child has been abducted and is in imminent danger. The alerts are broadcast through radio, TV, road signs, cell phones, and other data-enabled devices.
The AMBER Alert system was developed in 1996 to facilitate the rapid distribution of information about child abductions, named in remembrance of 9 year old Amber Hagerman.
An AMBER Alert is a crucial tool in helping locate a child & suspect.
