Each year the Humble High School Wildcat Veterans Day Salute commemorates military veterans for their service and sacrifice. On display is a replication of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, which serves as a memorial to service members who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and remain unknown.

This student service-learning event was the collaborative effort of a variety of on-campus clubs, staff and community businesses. The ceremony began with the placing of the wreath, playing of "Taps", a U.S. military ceremonial musical piece, singing of The National Anthem, pledges to the flags, and other patriotic activities.
Congressman-Elect Lt. Dan Crenshaw delivered the keynote speech. Humble High School students and staff were also joined by Humble High School alumni and City of Humble Mayor Pro-tem, Norman Funderburk. Funderburk presented a special proclamation naming November 9, 2018, Humble High School Wildcat Salute Day in the City of Humble.
The Humble High School Orchestra, led by Andrew McCallum, played "Honor & Glory" by Soon Hee Newbold and the Humble High School A Capella choir, led by Jason Plata, sang the National Anthem and closed the program with "If Ye Love Me" by Tallis.
Veterans and guests were then invited to have breakfast in the commons served by the Humble High School Key Club sponsored by Nora Brown and Steven Williams.
